Workshop Description

Participants in this workshop will explore the wearable vessel. You  will create a  unique vessel and maybe wear it home!

Using natural materials and recycled/found objects, the vessels will be filled with ‘seed pods’ or perhaps be a home to a living plant.

Notions of promise, wellbeing and awareness are evoked when the jewellery is worn and acts as a signifier for the broader environment.

Jan will provide numerous materials from her collections. Participants can also bring items of their choice, i.e., biodegradable natural materials such as string, paper, and cotton fabric. Found objects and recycled materials – anything that can be refashioned into wearable vessels.
