Be Involved: International Postcard Exhibition and Exchange with New York Artists

‘Postcards from New York’s Hudson Valley’, an innovative International Postcard Exhibition curated by NEA studio artist Irina Korotkow and New York based photographer Mary Anne Glassis on display in NEA’s Exhibition Gallery (Gallery 2) from June 18th to July 14th.

Mary Anne Glass visited North East Artisans Benalla early in 2019 while in Victoria conducting workshops.  On her return to New York, Mary Anne asked twenty-eight artists from New York’s Hudson Valley (about 60-70 miles north of New York City along the Hudson River) to make postcard-sized (6×8 inches) artwork on paper, cardstock, or unstretched canvas.  And they were excited to participate!

If you would like to participate in the postcard exchange and reciprocal exhibition at RiverWinds Gallery, Beacon, in New York’s Hudson Valley, please contact Irina Korotkow on 0407491756 NOW!

Toorak Sculpture Exhibition Invitation

GANEAA member Taro Iiyama has been chosen to exhibit. Good luck Taro!

The Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition is the most innovative and important annual event to take place in the Toorak Village, where we link the arts with business to form a unique cultural experience. During the entire month of May and first 2 weeks of June, we exhibit contemporary sculptural works in the shop windows and on the sidewalks of Toorak Road.

2019 will be the 18th year of the exhibition where Australian artists will display their sculptures in Toorak Village shop windows, arcades and along the sidewalks of Toorak Road. These will compliment the 10 permanent sculptures purchased by the Toorak Village businesses from previous shows. Presented by the Toorak Village Traders, directed by Tony Fialides and supported by our partners, 4 non acquisitive awards valued at $16,500 will be judged and awarded at an opening event in Toorak Village. 1 artist will be awarded with a $2,500 bronze casting award from MERIDIAN Sculpture.
