THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW BOOKED OUT – you can book for a cancellation spot.
If you have wondered how mural painters create such large work and keep it in proportion, then this workshop is for you. This is a hands-on workshop creating a large scale artwork from scratch, using the same methods I have employed on silos and walls.
Participants are asked to supply: their own clear safety glasses approx. $5 at Bunnings and a suitable spray painting mask/respirator if they want to have a go at using aerosol spray painting cans. Available at Bunnings/Mitre10 $45 or possibly cheaper on eBay.
Tim spent most of his working life in graphic design and began to dabble in paint in 2005. He studied Visual Arts at Wangaratta TAFE, then went onto have his first solo exhibition at Benalla art Gallery in 2011. He has won numerous local art awards, and in 2016 was introduced to street art when he participated in Benalla’s Wall to Wall Street Art festival. He was invited back in the 2017 and 2018 festivals.
Since 2018 Tim has been creating murals full time, painting public artworks for VicRoads, Winton Wetlands, Strathbogie Community, Monbulk Historical Society, Weathercraft Wines, St James Silos, a laneway in Rochester dedicated to Ron Iddles ‘The Good Cop’. In 2020 he completed his largest project to date, six enormous silos in Colbinabbin. He recently completed a large mural for Harris Farm Markets Albury store.
