Ever wanted to produce beautiful small paintings of resounding opaque colour on board? Using the inspiration of historical Greek, Byzantine and Russian paintings you will create your own contemporary icon exploring the medium of egg tempera.
Participants to bring: pallet knives, brushes, small jars with lids, pallets (old saucers)
Tutor will supply: eggs, bowls, board (primed), pigments and paper. These material costs are included in the workshop fee.
Artist Bio
I have been practicing as a visual artist for 30yrs and residing in the north east for most of this time participating in many local exhibitions. In my time as an artist I have worked across a range of visual art mediums including drawing , soft sculpture and a variety of painting mediums. I love exploring different materials and the effects that they can give you. I have extensive teaching experience working as a TAFE teacher for 25 yrs.
