In this workshop we will look at different methods used to turn a landscape into an abstract painting. Enjoy exploring ways to ‘free up’ your painting style.

 

Artist Bio:

Jo Davenport is primarily a landscapist and describes her colourful large-scale works as occupying a point between abstraction and representation. She began studying painting in 1979 at the Albury Technical College and has since studied at CSU, Albury TAFE and in 2011 completed a Master of Fine Art (Painting) at the Victorian College Arts, University of Melbourne. This year Jo has been selected as one of the recipients of the Hill End Residency through the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery. Jo is represented by Arthouse Gallery Sydney and Flinders Lane Gallery in Melbourne.
