A group linocut project inspired by the billabong, river, trees, and land; participants will learn to cut and print lino, with the aim to celebrate the Mullinmur Billabongs. Anita will supply Lino tools, rollers and sundries to be used on the day.
Artist Bio
Anita Laurence lives and works in King Valley, North East Victoria with her husband, master printmaker Bill Young. For over 20 years they have operated professional printmaking studios, catering for their own ongoing collaborative projects and those of visiting artists. A painter and printmaker, Anita’s most recent paintings, linocut prints, and etchings depict the region in which she lives, as well as Mildura, Tasmania and Ireland where she has visited as an artist. She is interested in depicting the social history of these places.
