Jo Davenport is primarily a landscapist and describes her colourful large-scale works as occupying a point between abstraction and representation. She began studying painting in 1979 at the Albury Technical College and has since studied at CSU, Albury TAFE and in 2011 completed a Master of Fine Art (Painting) at the Victorian College Arts, University of Melbourne. This year Jo has been selected as one of the recipients of the Hill End Residency through the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery.
